Pregame 8.0

I just got back from a meeting with the doctor and my pre-chemo blood tests. My white count is very low, so Mathilde will get to stick a needle in my stomach again next week (I think she likes that more than she should).
I told the doctor about how I have a burning sensation in my lungs when I take a deep breath. He would like  to do a chest x-ray to make sure I don't have any kind of infection. So I have to go back out to the hospital in about an hour to have that done. And I was kind of planning on this being a productive day....

UPDATE: I just got back from the hospital again and it turns out my lungs look fine. The doctor sat me down, told me the story of Peter and the wolf and sent me on my way. No actually he was very nice. He said there is no infection, but if it keeps bothering me or gets worse they will do some more tests.

The trip wasn't a complete waste though. I arrived a few minutes early and the x-ray technician was just at the end of his lunch break. So, he let me play with the machine while he finished his carrot sticks and chocolate milk. Pretty cool!

Kevin,
Too bad you have to back to the hospital today. Good luck with the chest XRay, I hope everything is ok.
Love, Scott

p.s.
Have you noticed any interesting behavior from Google Analytics lately? Lauren has asked all her college friends to visit the blog just so more states will light up for ya :-)

Talking about Peter and the wolf - better safe than sorry. Keep that paranoia flaming - it's your life we're talking about, not some silly scratch on the knee! Don't worry to bother the doctors - they get paid...

By the way - I hope you'll regain your normal complexity, you look really sick on the pictures!

Reminds me of when I was a kid... every shoe store had an x-ray scope so you could see the bones in your foot move around when you wiggled your toes. Never thought to put my face in there...
